The Nike PhantomVNM is here

Nike has unveiled the new PhantomVNM boot with a beautiful short film. Watch Tottenham Hotspur athlete Ronnell Humes and her crew show off the boot below…

The short film follows Ronnell and her friends around their local North London stomping grounds, showcasing Ronnell’s striking power as she utilises the new PhantomVNM boot’s perfect precision to hit the back of the net. We see that power come into play later in the film, when the women walk out on to the pitch at the men’s new stadium for the ultimate kickabout, shortly before being joined by fellow Tottenham Hotspur star and PhantomVNM player, Harry Kane.

Ronnell began playing for Tottenham Hotspur Ladies at the age of 8 and has been with the club for 11 years. In Oct 2015 Ronnell proved her striking mettle when she was one of the top scorers and played in the final which secured Tottenham Hotspur a place in WSL2.

Perfectly designed for strikers, the design of the PhantomVNM features a series of textured zones to facilitate a powerful strike, but with an understanding that all of the power in the world won’t score without the accuracy to keep the shot on goal. This emphasis is most evident in the instep’s ‘Precision Pwr’ strike zone, which has thirteen ridges set at specific angles and ascending heights to help keep the ball down if it is mishit and to provide bite on the ball.

The boots start at a UK size 3.5 and go up to a 12, and are available on now. Here’s to more women on men’s stadium pitches and more boots in sizes we can wear in 2019!
